Los
Angeles born Paper Sculptor Jeff Nishinaka has gained international
recognition in the past fifteen years through his unique representational
art forms in 3-Dimension. Following graduation in 1982 from The Art
Center College of Design, Pasadena, California, with a Bachelor of
Fine Arts degree in illustration, Jeff has been engaged to create
sculptures for private collectors, well known and respected publishers,
and multi-media clientele. He has received commissions from his alma
mater, The Art Center College of Design, Playboy Publications, Double
Day Books, Warner Books, a children's book for Macmillan/ McGraw-Hill,
and a 20' x 20' x 10' installation for the lobby of the ANA Hotel
Tokyo in Japan commemorating their 5th anniversary. Jeff received
an honor in 1992 from the Dimensional Illustrators Awards Show in
New York for that particular installation. His most recent endeavors
include a solo exhibition in Tokyo at the Galleria Prova and a teaching
position at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, California. |
